Dear Marilyn, I’ve found it difficult to find the right words to properly express how thankful and grateful Ryan and I are for your presence and expertise at our wedding is difficult. Quite literally I’m not sure if the day would have gone ahead without you, it definitely wouldn’t have had the same depth, heart and soul in it if it had. Due to my health issues, then unexpected health issues of close family members, at one point it all seemed absolutely too much. You’re knowledge and guidance was a saving grace. We were engaged for a year before deciding we would love to get married on the Gold Coast on a holiday we had booked from our home town of Perth. it was a bit nerve racking as it was only six weeks away and we were on the other side of the country, but we knew within a minute of speaking with Marilyn that she would do everything she could to assist us in making our day wonderful. Marilyn explained everything that was required simply and assisted with location suggestions for our desired garden wedding which was very helpful for non-locals. We decided on the beautiful Botanic Gardens in Benowa which created the perfect atmosphere for our relaxed wedding. You even included remembering the ones that could not be with us on our special day, as they were still in the United Kingdom. You made our day fun, loving and very enjoyable. As you are so spiritual, special and a hopeless romantic yourself, you made sure our day was incredibly special. You are naturally gifted and full of love and ideas. You’re so considerate, and thoughtful, even having back up plans for weather permitted changes. You constantly helped us with input and made it fun and enjoyable for the children too. Letting them have a practice run in your own home so they’d no longer worry about what they had to do on the day. You made sure that the day was just as special for them as it was for Dan and I. You continued to help us through the day with photo ideas, as we didn't have a professional photographer, even down to drawing heart shapes in the sand and giving us ideas we would never have thought of ourselves. Thank you for taking so many snaps for us after the wedding for the album we can now create. You truly are a very special lady. We will never forget you. And can’t thank you enough for everything. My husband Nick and I can't tell you the amount of times we have told people, "hiring Marilyn as our celebrant from NZ was the best money we spent on our wedding...full stop!" Marilyn stood out when we were looking for a celebrant on the internet and we instantly knew she was the one that was going to marry us. She was different to all the others that we looked at and we felt we were on the same wavelength. She was very enthusiastic, open and friendly. Throughout the planning Marilyn was very supportive and open minded and the fact we lived a long way from each other was no problem at all. Marilyn’s resources had so many different ideas and hundreds of different vows, poems readings, example ceremonies etc, which enabled us to plan and make up our own individual ceremony as we wanted it and together with her experience and feedback we were able to achieve our perfect wedding. We wanted a small, intimate beach ceremony with true meaning. To honour our time spent in India we chose to incorporate an Arti, an Indian ritual, recognising and paying tribute to our higher self. We also included an original Seven Chakra Handfasting that Marilyn designed and wrote which had such beautiful energy! The day itself was amazing and perfect! Seems like we can't put 6 stars, I would if I could. Marilyn has made the wedding experience a breeze. You really want her as a celebrant and I'm not paid to say so. From the planning phase where she gives you countless tips on things outside the scope of her business just because she actually cares, to the coaching throughout the day itself. Seriously, we were quite stressed (as you can imagine), and as soon as she arrived, stressed oozed out of us. Everything was smooth and orchestrated, she's funny, friendly, outgoing, everyone raved about how great the wedding was compared to what you could be used to. She was accommodating too, we married in the bush quite far from her place and she made it happen in the best possible way. We also have very different cultures and she dived in to understand and merge it in a clever way. It was a big memorable day and there's no way she's not responsible for it, Thank you for being our marriage celebrant to make special day. We would Definitely Recommend Marilyn for a Handfasting Wedding whether Medieval, Secular or Pagan. I also think she would be a great option for a more traditional wedding as she really cared about what we wanted for the day. Just the other day we were watching the recording of our wedding ceremony and were struck by how wonderful we felt watching. This was, in no small part, because of Marilyn's work as celebrant. We wanted a medieval wedding with a Norse theme and a Handfasting and you could almost hear flood gates of Marilyn’s creativity opening. Where do I even begin, from the very first contact MARILYN WAS THE PERFECT CELEBRANT FOR US! My husband James and I came across Marilyn after surfing the web for hours and hours for the perfect celebrant who would be able to create a ceremony that completely reflected who we are as a couple. We were after a creative ceremony, with elements a little unusual and unique. We loved the idea of the “love story” as that is something all couples hold special and what a better day to celebrate that story than on your wedding day! After scrolling down so many testimonials and reading more about Marilyn, we decided to meet with the lady herself. Marilyn showed us numerous of suggestions to help us achieve our dream ceremony and her personality was so friendly and it just seemed so fitting to our wedding day, so we quickly booked! Although it was still well over a year until our wedding date, Marilyn was more than happy to start working on our ceremony with us as one of the very first things we did. I’m sure she had so many other ceremony’s to map out before ours, but she never let on that it was too early or too much trouble. In fact it worked out so well as we had plenty of time to perfect our ceremony exactly the way we wanted it well in advance and well before the wedding plans ramped up and we wouldn’t have had enough time to dedicate the thought we gave it. With Marilyn’s help we had it sorted months and months before our big day! On our wedding day Marilyn arrived early as promised and went to visit James and the boys to make sure they were all up to scratch on ceremony movements and timings. Her delivery of the ceremony was fantastic, she told our love story with such enthusiasm! Our guests loved her special touches, such as the wooden box idea. We had our best man construct a wooden box, during the ceremony we had a nice bottle of scotch, and our love letters to each other sealed shut. It was the touch that really set our ceremony apart from lots of others we have attended. Marilyn is simply fantastic and made it seem as our big day was just as special to her as it was to us! I have also attached a few pictures that help to show the little “Marilyn touches” that we loved so much at our wedding!

Marry Me Marilyn was the perfect choice for us and we can't thank her enough! Our perfect day was on the harbour up in Darwin. What a magical day with fireworks and sunset aboard a boat with all our family and friends. I was so nervous about the vows and with Marilyn's help on the day the words just flowed and for someone who normally hates public speaking this was just an amazing experience. We decided to write our love story for our wedding and this was all new to us as we hadn't heard much about it before. When Marilyn sent us through some examples we knew she was onto something and with her help it ended up being both emotional and funny with some great lines that had the crowd in stitches. Our guests told us our wedding ceremony was the best most interesting wedding they had ever seen. The ceremony itself went absolutely spot on with both my wife and I struggling with all the organising we were overwhelmed how well Marilyn pulled it all together with such professionalism. The ceremony was more in-depth than what we imagined. With some fresh ideas from Marilyn we co-created our own original sand & shell ceremony. This was so special for us and really touched our family. We were so happy with the way she organised our big day via Skype. The prep work all came together far better than we could have imagined :). Prior to our wedding we attended two other weddings of friends that were both good days. Unfortunately both ceremonies had the same bad celebrant that may have been a butcher in a past life and that's how we realised how important having a good celebrant really is. After doing some research we were lucky that Marilyn was available to travel across the country so we could be married by someone who really cares about her work and the couple. Before our meeting we had mentioned we would like a Zen Buddhist Ceremony. The day of our meeting Marilyn presented us with the first draft of the wedding ceremony. She had thought of everything it was perfect and our plans all fell into place. We had planned a beach wedding but the weather forecast coming up to the day was not looking good discussing the prospect of facing rain on our day Marilyn gracefully offered her garden for our ceremony if the weather was not on our side. Well the day arrived and it had rained for days and it did not let up for us. We were disappointed but accepting nature as it is we arrived at Marilyn's home to find she and her husband had set up her living room especially for our wedding ceremony with Buddhist style Bali Umbrellas and lanterns and a low Thai style table for the offerings, it was awesome! Hi Marilyn, since you last saw us in the rainforest on our perfect beautiful day our married life has been wonderful yet hectic and busy.
